Nancy doesn’t seem to remember that she slept with Hayden a year ago, and as the school year draws to a close, Hayden finds himself more and more attracted to her. Unfortunately getting involved with Nancy may prove more dangerous than he expects, especially when he is tempted with an bribe he cannot refuse from Melanie Silver’s rich mother.
Will Hayden risk his career and his first love for money? Will he betray the woman of his heart for his first love?
“There’s only one reason you’d be weirded out.” She brings her face dangerously close to mine and toys with my shirt collar. “You like me.”
“Uh…no, I mean…yes, but–”
She brushes her lips against my cheek. “Don’t lie to yourself, Hayden. I could tell you were hot for me the other day.” Her hand lays flat on my chest. “But if you still like Melanie…”
“No.” I turn her face to mine and look her square in the eye. “She’s important to me, yes, a good friend, but…but she’s not you.”
“That’s good enough for me,” she whispers. “Follow me.”
She leads me into a dark alleyway between two brick buildings. It’s narrow and doesn’t smell particularly pleasant, but when she forces me against the rough brick wall and wraps her arms around me, all I can smell is her enticing perfume.
“I think you know that I’ve wanted you for a long time now,” she whispers in my ear. She kisses my neck and nibbles on my earlobe.
We’ve already had each other. Tell her.
Her touch feels amazing, and the fact that we’re in this dirty alleyway together only makes it hotter. To my left, sunlight streams in, and we’re right across from a public park. It’s not particularly busy but anyone who crosses the street and gets close enough could probably see us. Otherwise we are mostly obscured by darkness.
“I’ve…really wanted you too.” Again. My hand touches the tender, hidden prize beneath her shirt. Her underwear is damp.
